Backups in Etimad HMS: Configuration and Restore
Configure automatic daily backups, verify they are running, and restore your database safely when needed.
How backups work
Etimad HMS creates a complete, compressed copy of your database on a schedule you choose. Backups are stored in a local folder and, optionally, on a USB drive and our encrypted cloud service.
Configuring the schedule
Go to Administration → Backups. The default schedule (daily at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM) suits most hospitals; add a USB destination for physical redundancy.
Enable cloud backup if your license includes it — backups are encrypted before leaving your computer.
Restoring a backup
From Administration → Backups → Restore, choose a backup file and confirm. The system verifies the file before replacing anything and keeps a safety copy of the current state.
For disaster recovery on a new computer, install Etimad HMS as Server, then restore your latest backup — your hospital is back in under an hour.
